Seismic Dip and Azimuth: How They Are Calculated and Used
Dip and azimuth are intuitive: how steep a layer is and which way it tilts. Computing them reliably across a full 3D seismic volume is less obvious, and so is the way they drive workflows such as RGT and data conditioning.
Our new video explains how they are calculated and used, and how we optimized their computation in our software to handle large volumes efficiently.
