Hackathons and presentation at EAGE Digital 2025

We ran two GenAI hackathons in partnership with ThinkOnward and presented our extended abstract, Streamlining Evaluation of Agentic and RAG Systems in Geoscience GenAI, at EAGE Digital 2025 in Edinburgh.

Both hackathons were about RAG systems. In the first, participants built their own RAG systems to answer questions about a set of geological documents. In the second, they tried to find the limits of a GenAI system by asking it tricky questions designed to make it hallucinate. Big thanks to our friends at ThinkOnward for running them with us.
